Islamabad(AFP): Pakistani government has condemned the US airstrike in the North Waziristan area that targeted a Taliban leader and killed six militants on Sunday.

According to the Express Tribune, the drone strikes were targeting the Taliban leader Hafiz Gul Bahadur.

A US drone fired two missiles that hit a vehicle and a compound in Alwara Mandi of North Waziristan, killing six militants, according to a senior security official.

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the US airstrikes violated the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Ministry demands a complete end to these airstrikes.
