Chandigarh(web team): Close on the heels of a teenage girl dying in Moga after being molested and thrown off a moving bus, a case of alleged gangrape of a young woman has been reported from the district.

The woman, in her complaint, has alleged that she was abducted and raped by a family friend and his accomplices at a deserted place in the district yesterday.

According to NDTV report, the woman has told the police that her friend's husband called other men, and they took turns to rape her.

As per reports, a medical examination has confirmed rape and 11 people have been booked in connection with the case.

Two days ago, a woman and her teenaged daughter were allegedly molested and thrown off a running bus belonging to the ruling Badal family in Punjab, leaving the girl dead and mother seriously wounded, and kicking up a political storm.

Deceased Arshdeep Kaur (14) along with her mother Shinder Kaur (38) and brother Akashdeep Singh (15) had boarded the Bathinda-bound bus near Moga bypass, about 10 km from Moga district headquarters.

Four persons including the driver, cleaner and conductor of the bus were arrested on Thursday.

The woman was travelling with her daughter and son in the nearly empty bus from Moga to Baghapurana when the accused began molesting them, ignoring desperate pleas to let them go.

Meanwhile, Punjab Congress chief Pratap Singh Bajwa, who met the injured woman in Moga, said,"The murder of a young Dalit girl who jumped out (was pushed out) from a speeding bus belonging to a transport company that is owned and controlled by Sukhbir Singh Badal and other members of the Badal family demonstrate the lawlessness prevalent in Punjab."
