New York City(web team): Former Beauty Queen and Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra has secured a place for herself in Bollywood. But the pretty actress is not limiting herself to the Hindi film industry only. She cut a single with Pitbull, made her Hollywood debut with Disney's Planes, was signed by brand giant Guess and also sung at the NFL. She now debut's on American TV with ABC's Quantico where she reportedly plays the central figure. As per a report on Ibtimes.com, Pee Cee has agreed to a good deal, close to what Sofia Vergara got for Modern Family. Here are six reasons why Priyanka can make it big on American Television.

Big Launch - ABC (American Broadcasting Company) is one of Hollywood's most popular and famous studios and to be launched by them is certainly a big deal. Indian actress Nimrat Kaur plays a role in the US series Homeland, but it's not a central character. Similarly, Anil Kapoor received a lot of attention for playing Omar Hassan in the eighth season of 24. But here, Priyanka reportedly plays the central character and according to a report on Ibtimes.com, the Exotic singer has signed a one-year contract with ABC's Executive Vice President of Casting, Keli Lee. ABC has made some popular shows such as Desperate Housewives and Modern Family and they have tasted success and with Pee Cee reportedly playing the main protagonist, this could be a big launch for her in the American television scene.

Popularity - She has a fan following that will make many of her contemporaries envious. And we are not talking just about Bollywood celebs. Even Jamaican singer Sean Paul, Hollywood actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias, Kerry Washington and Gerad Butler are a fan of the multi talented actress. Priyanka is becoming a familiar face in the West and if Quantico is well received by audiences, then sky's the limit for her. Anil Kapoor too became famous in Hollywood post the success of Slumdog Millionaire and featured in the hit American televisions series 24.

International singer - Priyanka Chopra's first international single, In My City, hit the bull's eye with fans and celebrities going gaga over Pee Cee. In My City was also selected as the theme song to the 2013 season of the NFL Network's Thursday Night Football. But that's not all. Her next single Exotic featuring Pitbull, became a rage and quickly went viral. Her cover version of Bonnie Raitt's I Can't Make You Love Me was featured in a nationwide campaign for Beats By Dre. The diva also attended her first pre-Grammy Awards gala in Los Angeles this year, a privilege that only the who's who in the international singing circuit get. With her increasing popularity, Priyanka is making sure her presence is felt and with her debut on American TV, chances are the sultry actress will woo the West once again, albeit with her singing this time.

Hollywood debut - After actors like Irrfan Khan, Om Puri, Anupam Kher and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (to name a few), Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra made her Hollywood debut with Disney's animated film Planes. Pee Cee lent her voice for this one and won critics over. She certainly made a lot of people in Hollywood take notice of her at the premiere of the film, where she dressed to kill. Being a fashion icon, an international signer and a big brand in herself, there are high chances of her getting more work and recognition in the West, especially if Quantico is a hit with viewers.

Global name - Having worked with some of the best names in Bollywood, Priyanka collaborated with two famous international artists: Pitbull and will.i.am. She also lent her voice for Disney's Planes along with popular TV star Teri Hatcher (of Desperate Housewives fame). While In My City was the theme song to the 2013 season of the NFL Network's Thursday Night Football, Piggy Chops is ensuring she makes her presence felt not only in Hollywood, but in the international music scene as well. Priyanka is also the first and only woman of Indian descent to be named as a Guess Girl. This by no means is a small feat. Now with her debut on Quantico, she's certain to grab eyeballs. In the show, Priyanka will play an intelligent trainee whose past haunts her after she arrives at Quantico, as reported on Deadline.com. Quantico will be produced by Mark Gordon, Nick Pepper and Josh Safran. Pee Cee could well be on her way to be the next Eva Longoria and the next big thing on English TV after Kunal Nayyar and Archie Panjabi.

Pool house of talent - Singer and actress Priyanka Chopra has taken the path less travelled. She is a National Award winning actress and considering her NRI appeal, Priyanka will certainly be well received in the United States, which has a large Indian population. According to a report on Blogs.reuters.com, she was quoted saying that she was a known name in the US, thanks to her music. So Pee Cee being accepted and getting more work and recognition with Quantico is a high possibility.
