Ballia,Uttar Pradesh(PTI): Five persons were injured in a clash between two groups belonging to different communities when one side was bursting crackers after India's victory over Pakistan in the cricket World Cup.
The incident took place last night in Gudri Bazar area when some youths were bursting crackers after India's victory and a rocket entered the shop of a person belonging to a different community, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), KC Goswami said. This led to the clash injuring five, he said, adding that six persons have been arrested in this connection.
The situation in the area is under control, he said.
