Instant messaging service WhatsApp is apparently banning the users who are also operating WhatsApp Plus along with it. WhatsApp Plus is a third-party client and is wrongly being termed as an upgraded alternative to the original WhatsApp messaging service. The rumours are making people falsely believe that the third-party client is the next version of WhatsApp.

Therefore, WhatsApp is now banning all the users who have WhatsApp Plus installed and running in their gadgets from using WhatsApp along with it. Users have revealed that the ban implemented by WhatsApp shows a ban time limit of 24 hours on charges of violating its 'terms and services' by using a third-party client simultaneously.

WhatsApp has mentioned on its official FAQ page that, "WhatsApp Plus is an application that was not developed by WhatsApp, nor is it authorised by WhatsApp. The developers of WhatsApp Plus have no relationship to WhatsApp, and we do not support WhatsApp Plus. Please be aware that WhatsApp Plus contains source code which WhatsApp cannot guarantee as safe and that your private information is potentially being passed to third parties without your knowledge or authorization."

Users have been asked to uninstall WhatsApp Plus from their devices and then make a fresh install of WhatsApp in order to reuse the service. However, the 24-hour ban period will follow even after you uninstall WhatsApp Plus and install WhatsApp again.
