Mumbai: Bollywood actor Salman Khan was booked for hurting religious sentiments of a community on Thursday. The Yavatmal police has booked a case under section 295 (A) after the president of All India Qaumi Tazeem, Mohammad Asim Ali lodged the complaint against the actor.

The police said that according to the complaint, NGO 'Being Human' which is perated by Khan organised a fashion show in Mumbai a few days back.
In the fashion show, few models who walked down the ramp were wearing dresses which displayed "Allah" written on the bottom half.
Ali also produced the video clip of the fashion show on the basis of which he was booked for hurting religious sentiments of the community and triggering anger among Muslims. The complaint was filed on Tuesday.
Also, Ali alleged that police did not take any action in this regard for at least two days. Thus, they told the officials that an indefinite dharna will be launched if they do not take required action against the matter.
However, the police continued the investigation. After the initial investigation, police officer Dilip Chavan lodged the case on September 10 under section 295 (A).
